IKA MOVES TO SWITZERLAND
Following discussions at the recent IKA Annual General Meeting and further deliberations in the Executive Committee, the International Kiteboarding Association has now completed its relocation from Germany (previously being an incorporated association under German association law) to Switzerland (incorporated association under Swiss Association law). Switzerland is offering excellent conditions for international associations (one of the reasons why most international associations and federations are located in Switzerland). Incorporation in Switzerland carries many advantages, from favourable association tax laws to automatic limitation of liability for directors and members. This change of location also makes the previoulsy required management company in Gibraltar obsolete which was used to limit liability of directors and members, and adds to the transparency and good governance of the IKA.
